Little Things from Lisa

Ever since I was a kid, I had a dream to do something significant with my life.  When I was around ten, I told God that I didn’t want a “regular” job, but instead wanted to do something that really impacted people.  And then, day after day, I attended school.  And it was boring.  It is true, I was one of those “are we done yet?” students.  By the time graduation day arrived, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life.  But I knew it didn’t involve any more school for the time being.  And the memory of my proclamation to God to do something significant slipped away into the back of my mind for a very long time.  And life moved on.  And time went by.  Rather quickly actually.  And I was in my late thirties before I had remembered what I had wanted for my life.

We are approaching the end of yet another year in our lives.  As I mentioned, they seem to move quicker and quicker the older I get.  And the urge, dream, desire to do something grows larger within me.  Is there still time?  At the age of 51?  How about 60? 70? 80+?  I unequivocally say yes!  And I venture to say that the older we are, the better equipped we are to impact the world around us.  But sometimes we need help in figuring out how.  We need help to determine our purpose, our gifts, and our power!

You have an opportunity to chart a new course for 2019 by attending our one-day retreat called “Life Word”.  This is a chance for you to take one day out of your busy life to help you better navigate the course for the rest of your life.  One that is focused and energized by your own sense of identity.  You will find more details and a registration in this newsletter and I encourage you to sign up right away.
