Services: 8am and 10am

"I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your
faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be
over all the earth."
Psalm 108:3-5

It is a crisp morning as I type away, listening to a bird chirping
merrily along outside the office window. It is a reminder that
Fall is just around the corner - my favorite time of year!

We are blessed to live in a part of the country where the
changing of seasons is visible and beautiful. Each one having
unique beauty, smells, tastes, and activities. For me, Fall means
the changing of the leaves into vibrant colors, the smell of oak
burning in the fireplace as the evenings get cooler, apple cider
donuts, and hayrides with the kids.

The changing of the seasons also brings new activities at Church
as Confirmation begins once again along with our children's
activities. The Church will begin a new season of worship and
praise as well.

Perhaps this is a perfect time to look over the recent past and
to take a personal inventory. To reflect on the successes and
failures of the past season; learning and growing in knowledge
and faith. Quiet reflection helps us to understand our strengths
and weaknesses and the changes we need to make as the seasons
of our lives also change.

Take time to reflect upon God's glory and to be brought near to
Him. Let God's glory have the same profound and apparent
effect on your seasons of change as He does on nature around
us. Let His peace and presence dwell within you richly as we
await the harvest of righteousness that He has promised through
Scripture.

May the peace that passes all understanding guard your hearts
and minds in Christ Jesus.

In His Service,
Pastor Jim
