Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Philippians 4:4
With all the turmoil in the world, the elections and the fast approaching holiday seasons, we might find ourselves less peaceful, less joyful than the Apostle Paul says we ought to be. Paul is a great encourager. After receiving a gift from the church in Philippi, Paul writes them a letter of thanks and encouragement. This letter is for us as well. He goes on to say –
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:5-7
(the rest of Paul’s letter is good too!) Rejoice and give thanks!
CHOIR
The nights are getting cooler, kids
are heading back to school and it is time for the 2008/09 choir season to
resume.
All who enjoy singing praises to our God are welcome. (You don’t even have to carry a tune in a bushel basket!!)
