Trustees

Please welcome Gene Kaeding as our new Trustee. 

He is completing the term of Steve Anderson, who was elected in January of 2008 and asked to step down as Trustee.  Gene’s term is for the remainder of this year and then for the next two years (2011).  He joins Paula Pettersen and Bill Britton. 

According to our constitution the Board of Trustees shall consist of 3 members elected for the term of 3 years in such manner that the term of 1 member shall expire annually.  After serving 1 full term, a Trustee shall be for 1 year ineligible for re-election.  They have supervision and control of:

1.        Care and custody of the church including the employment and direction of custodians and others.

       2.            Obtain approval of the Congregation at a duly called meeting in order to buy, sell, mortgage, lease, or transfer real property.  

3.                It shall also be the duty of the Trustees to receive recommendations from the other church boards, organizations, and members of the church and to prepare a tentative budget with the Financial Secretary and Treasurer for presentation to the Church Council no later than the November meeting. 

The Trustees along with the Deaconate and the Pastor form the Pastoral Relations Committee.
